CAMERON, Scott

Elevate Langley Assoc.

Council Candidate

Scott Cameron has made his career out of his passion. Seventeen years ago he started his first job cleaning golf carts at Redwoods Golf Course. Now he is the Head Golf Professional.

He also works as a Sales and Tournament Coordinator for the Redwoods Golf Course. He knows how to plan, organize, and deliver successful events by bringing people together around common goals. Scott has organized tournaments for the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Township of Langley Firefighters Charitable Society, Wagner Hills Farm Society, the Gateway of Hope, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Langley, Youth Unlimited and many other local charities.

Scott grew up in Langley. He and his wife Rachel are raising their young family near the Walnut Grove Town Center – one of Langley’s original walkable communities. He can and does walk to work from his townhouse.

He strongly believes that people who grow up in the Township should be able to afford to build their lives and raise their families here as well.

He will bring this perspective to the council table and speak out about affordable housing and creating good jobs close to home. Voters can expect Scott to identify creative solutions and work towards delivering the results young families need.

Scott will also ensure that our first responders get the resources they need to effectively service the Township. Traffic congestion is another ongoing concern that he believes needs to be addressed and there is no question that better transit service is a key part of the solution.

Scott Cameron currently serves on

  • the Township of Langley Recreation, Culture, and Parks Advisory Committee
  • and the Township of Langley Outdoor Sports Advisory Group

Scott holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Northwood University and he is a PGA of Canada Class “A” Professional.

He is also the co-owner of a successful local small business, the Fletcher Cameron Golf Academy.
